Lake Forest, IL, May 11, 2020 — Impact Networking, a leading managed services provider, announced today that CRN®, a brand of The Channel Company, has named Cynthia Bennett, Vice President of Talent Acquisition, to its esteemed 2020 Women of the Channel list. Recognizing the unique strengths, vision, and achievements of a select group of women, this prestigious, annual list acknowledges channel leaders who are blazing a trail for future generations. These women are from all areas of the IT ecosystem, including technology vendors, distributors, solution providers, and other IT organizations.

CRN® editorial team selects the honorees to celebrate a list of exceptional women acclaimed for their contributions to channel advocacy, growth, thought leadership, and dedication to the IT channel.

Cynthia Bennett joined Impact Networking in 2013, and became the company’s first Recruiter after she saw a need for a focused recruiting department. She took on the challenge of this new role and focused on recruiting entry-level sales reps, which was the main focus then, researching potential university partners and forming relationships with program directors and professors. Cynthia continued to grow the team and excel from Director of Talent Acquisition to Vice President of Talent Acquisition. In addition to growing the team, Cynthia developed Impact’s university partnerships with the University of Wisconsin—Whitewater, Northern Illinois University, Cal State Fullerton, North Central College and more. She has continued to find ways for Impact to differentiate from the competition through creative initiatives such as the Sales Competition and on-campus workshops. Most recently, Cynthia re-vamped the Employee Referral program, which saw an 89% increase in employee referrals from 2017 to 2019.

“CRN’s 2020 Women of the Channel list recognizes an accomplished group of influential women leaders whose strategic vision and unique achievements accelerate channel growth through cultivated partnerships, innovative thought leadership, and unwavering dedication to the IT channel,” said Bob Skelley, CEO of The Channel Company. “We are proud to honor them for their accomplishments and contributions to driving channel success.”

“As Impact continues to grow 27% year-over-year and expand into new service offerings and new geographical markets, Cynthia is tasked with the challenge of recruiting for technical roles at a fast pace,” said Frank Cucco, Impact CEO. “As Vice President of Talent Acquisition, Cynthia continues to mentor and grow her team, while expanding recruiting efforts for Impact’s services, with a particular focus on our more technical and specialized divisions. She has done an amazing job for Impact and deserves to be honored as one of CRN’s 2020 Women of the Channel.”

The 2020 Women of the Channel list will be featured in CRN® Magazine on June 8 and online.
