Dog Daycare Rebuilds Secure Network Infrastructure with Managed IT Support Services

Collecting credit card payments from customers is undeniably a crucial part of operating a successful, modern small business, and necessitates network infrastructure security to protect that sensitive data. Payment Card Industry (PCI) compliance regulations require businesses to have a secure network and meet a variety of other technical security measures in order to collect payments. That’s why Camp Bow Wow turned to Impact to ensure a secure network without overwhelming the existing team.

Camp Bow Wow is a dog daycare franchise with 180 locations and counting. It offers small business owners the unique opportunity to run their own set of facilities. Leah Boshart is the Area Director supporting the Waukesha location, which celebrates 10 years in business. She also has supported another location in Oak Creek through and since its opening in 2020. Together, these two locations employ about 40 staff members, but since none were dedicated IT professionals, the team was stuck troubleshooting all of their technical and security compliance challenges by themselves.

In Waukesha, Leah’s time was divided between her typical job responsibilities and working on fixing IT challenges that are common to small businesses, like Wi-Fi outages, disorganized and insecure file sharing procedures, and outdated software and hardware. From a security standpoint, the team needed to change its network and secure their doggie playroom camera systems in order to meet PCI compliance regulations and accept credit card payments securely.
How did Camp Bow Wow achieve compliance, security-first IT standards and gain back the time to focus on the two facilities? Find out in this case study video.

In it, Leah and members of her designated Impact team discuss how the Impact Managed IT team became Camp Bow Wow’s partner in information technology through the comprehensive CompleteCare program. Learn more about why Camp Bow Wow chose Impact, how Impact’s assessment helped uncover important areas for improvement from a security standpoint and what the results have been so far from this successful partnership.
