The Trip of a Lifetime
Being a corporate sponsor of the Chicago Blackhawks sure has its benefits. This year Impact account executive Tony Deszcz was chosen to invite his Blackhawks super-fan client for the trip of a lifetime. They would spend the weekend traveling to a Chicago Blackhawks away game, with the Hawks themselves.
The VIP Blackhawks experience began with being swept away in the Blackhawks private jet toward the road game destination— with the entire team on board! The guests were treated like true VIPs and attended exclusive team dinners, watched the Hawks pre-game practice, received autographed memorabilia and went on private tours of the stadium and locker room. Deszcz shared some of the most memorable moments from the trip:
“The trip started with meeting at an exclusive VIP terminal at O’Hare to board the Blackhawks private jet (all seats were first class coaches/recliners) with the entire team and supporting cast. I feasted on lobster and filet mignon on my way out to Dallas.
Upon arrival, we were greeted with tour buses to take us to the Ritz Carlton for our private check-in with the team.
I had an amazing dinner with Troy Murray followed by cocktails at the hotel lounge with various team members.
In the morning we boarded the bus with the team. We went to watch them practice and had full VIP access of the stadium. I sat in penalty box, on the players benches, toured the locker room, and got a rundown of how these events are put together; SO COOL! I even had a chance to see Coach Q practice with the team.
After a quick nap we enjoyed yet another VIP dinner before the game. Then we sat in glass seats and watched them destroy Dallas.
After the game, we received the same treatment on the way back home. We were able to get an autograph of our choice; I brought my Kane jersey.
This is an experience of a lifetime that money can’t buy. The client that was on the trip with me has more money than most can dream of. He stated this was the most amazing trip he has been on in his entire life, saying repeatedly, “This is bucket list stuff that money can’t buy; thank you for making one of my dreams come true!”
