Impact Announces $10,000 Donation in Scholarship Funds
Impact CEO Frank Cucco Teams Up with Congressman Danny K. Davis to Champion Racial Equality for Aspiring Students
Today, Impact Networking, a leading managed services provider, announced that it has donated on behalf of Congressman Danny K. Davis, representing the 7th District of Illinois, $10,000 to help fund scholarships for academically deserving students enrolled at the University of Arkansas at Pine Bluff (UAPB). Civil rights advocate and thought leader Congressman Davis voiced his gratitude and appreciation to Impact CEO Frank Cucco. “This is indeed a great way for all of us to celebrate Black History Month, and I thank you for your interest and involvement.”
Since 1873, Congressman Davis’s alma mater UAPB has been shaping the minds that continue to reshape the world. The public, historically black university is a tightly-knit community that fosters the intellectual and social development of a diverse student body, preparing them to be competitive in a global economy. Cucco described the intention of the donation. “By making this commitment, we hope to help provide access and opportunity to aspiring students who are in need of financial assistance.”
Impact looks forward to continuing its work with Congressman Davis and paving the path forward for racial equality in the neighboring communities. “When making decisions on who we hire and promote at Impact, it is incumbent upon us to focus on diversity and inclusion to attract top talent and strengthen our culture,” said Cucco.
The scholarships will be named in honor of Impact Networking and Cucco, and will be associated with Congressman Davis, Davis’s sister Dr. Ceola Davis Barnes & The Illinois Black Heritage Foundation, and Bill Jacobs, owner of Jacobs Group Inc. and consultant for Impact.
