Impact Networking and Jen Stark partner for new mural in DTLA
LOS ANGELES (October 9, 2017) — The Los Angeles’ Arts District recently welcomed a new mural to its bustling neighborhood, with a Jen Stark original titled “Chromatic Cascade” now at 1828 Conway Place. Impact, a business process optimization company that recently expanded its Midwest operation in Los Angeles, hired artist Jen Stark to paint its 5,000-square foot warehouse space in her signature psychedelic camouflage style.
After weeks of prep and painting, Jen Stark’s largest mural to date came to life, covering two walls spanning 200 feet long and using over 20 different colors. Impact gave Stark full creative liberty to imagine a design that was all her own, showcasing her signature style of vibrantly dripping rainbows and amoebas. The hand-sketched design uses color theory to show how the different shades react with each other, creating an image that appears to drip right from the sky onto the building.
Stark’s previous works include a permanent mural inside Miami International Airport, an installation inside the Fashion Outlets of Chicago, a mural at the Facebook Headquarters in Menlo Park, CA, as well as stage design and animations for the 2015 Video Music Awards hosted by Miley Cyrus, among others.
“When Impact reached out about this opportunity I was excited to partner with them and bring a creative, one-of-a-kind piece to the Arts District,” said Artist, Jen Stark. “This is my largest mural to date and given creative freedom, we were able to design a stunning piece that will be a focal point in the neighborhood.”
Impact is a fierce competitor in the Business Process Optimization space, and recently extended its operations from Chicagoland and the Midwest to Los Angeles. Already serving over a hundred clients throughout the city, the distribution center and warehouse in the Arts District is the company’s first physical location in Los Angeles. Excited to begin operations and be a part of the neighborhood, Impact felt it was important to bring in a Los Angeles-based artist to paint the warehouse.
“Jen Stark’s work is a great fit for our organization. Having started in 1999 in the copier industry, the effect of dripping ink from the side of building mimics Impact’s early years,” said CEO, Frank Cucco. “We are excited about our current expansion to the West Coast and this mural serves as a vibrant representation of our new chapter.” The mural is now finished at 1828 Conway Place, Los Angeles, CA 90021.
