Impact CEO Frank Cucco Joins Forces with Illinois Secretary of State Jesse White to Pave the Path Forward for Chicago’s Youth
Impact Networking, a leading managed services provider, today announced it has donated $35,000 to the Jesse White Tumbling Team, a program with a mission to help set at-risk youth on the path to success. Illinois Secretary of State Jesse White voiced his gratitude and appreciation to Impact CEO Frank Cucco. “Thank you for giving, thank you for caring and thank you for making a difference in the lives of these young people.”
The Jesse White Tumbling Team, founded in 1959 by the Honorable Jesse White to promote positive youth development in Chicago, has received international praise for its worthwhile cause. White has spent more than 60 years working as a volunteer with the team to help inner-city kids stay away from gangs, drugs, alcohol and smoking. In honor of White’s lifelong contributions to the community, the Jesse White Community Center and Field House was opened by the Chicago Park District in 2014. The building serves as a safety net for team members who are required to stay in school and maintain a minimum “C” average. More than 18,000 young men and women as young as age six have performed with the team. White celebrated the program’s accomplishments. “When we help student athletes soar to extreme heights, society is a better place for all of us.”
Impact is making it possible for the Jesse White Tumbling Team to provide meaningful resources for its student athletes, such as uniforms, performance equipment and travel expenses. In addition to this generous contribution to the Tumblers, Impact recently donated $10,000 on behalf of Congressman Danny K. Davis, representing the 7th District of Illinois, to help fund scholarships for academically deserving students from Chicago enrolled at the University of Arkansas at Pine Bluff, a public, historically black university. Cucco described the privilege of giving back to local communities. “These gifts would not be made possible without our employees and their commitment to Impact. Together we are paving the path forward, brick by brick, to a more diverse and inclusive future for our people and the communities where we work.”
Impact’s new Chief Diversity Officer Bill Jacobs will be leading initiatives for diversity and inclusion to help attract top talent and strengthen the company’s culture. “I am honored to carry Impact’s flag for diversity,” Jacobs said. Looking forward, Impact will continue to develop comprehensive plans for recruitment, retention, advancement and sponsorships to help narrow opportunity gaps and reaffirm the company’s commitment to equality for all.
