PC Magazine Romania Awards the FS-1010 “Editor’s Choice”
Kyocera Mita’s FS-1010 has impressed yet another magazine; receiving the “Editors’ Choice” from PC Magazine Romania
The magazine’s lab tested eight devices from leading manufacturers including HP (LaserJet 1000W and LaserJet 1200), Lexmark (E322), Brother (HL-1450 and HL-1470n), Oki (OkiPage 14i/n) and Gestetner(P7016). The test was for small workgroup printers: assessing reliability, ease of use, enhancements and Total Cost of Ownership (TCO).
The F. A. Porsche-designed Kyocera FS-1010 laser printer offers speed at 14ppm and a huge capacity of standard memory with a powerful PowerPC 405/200MHz processor. This ensures fast output of printed data and graphics, with very low emissions and power consumption. PC Magazine Romania was impressed with the device and awarded it the “Editors’ Choice.”
Apart from overall performance, the Kyocera FS-1010 received the award for specific reasons: Flawless production throughout the whole of the test showed reliability and consistency, which is invaluable in a busy office. The installation of the printer was found to be very easy and the array of the options available on the device meant it was flexible and adaptable. Having the lowest TCO out of the group is probably the Kyocera FS-1010’s biggest sales point, as it has to be an important part of any buying decision; however, coupled with all its other leading attributes, the FS-1010 was a clear winner.
The low TCO, which PC Magazine Romania praised, is due to long life components, developed as part of Kyocera Mita’s renowned ECOSYS technology. The FS-1010’s drum, developer and fuser are designed for 100,000 pages, so the only consumable required for each device is toner. Not only does this mean a low TCO, and the lowest cost per page in its class, but the printer is also particularly environmentally friendly, as waste is significantly reduced.
This is another in a long line of Kyocera Mita devices reaching the “top of the class” awards in magazines and lab tests across Europe. All Kyocera Mita devices prove their quality as soon as they are put to the test and no competitor comes close for Total Cost of Ownership.
