Impact Takes Two Local Charities Out To The Ballgame

Opening Day at Impact Field is less than a week away, but a group of enterprising Impact employees seized an opportunity to take two deserving organizations to a preseason game at Impact Field. Members of the Ray Graham Association and the Pioneer Center for Human Services paid a special visit to Impact Field. Both organizations provide vital services for people with developmental disabilities.

Attendees were able to watch as the Chicago Dogs bested the Black Sox in a special preseason game, complete with transportation, perfect weather, and a hot dog lunch provided by Impact. Impact Event Coordinator Kristen Kalinka worked with the Chicago Dogs and their catering and administrative staff to make this event a reality.

“We are so grateful to the Chicago Dogs for helping make this event a success,” said Kalinka. “This opportunity was brought to our attention through two of our Account Managers, and the Chicago Dogs staff came together to help us host two incredible organizations. Not only was this event seamless, it was a blast.”

Impact provides office equipment and services to both groups, enabling their incredibly important operations to run as efficiently as possible. “We have a lot of clients in the not-for-profit space, and we always look for ways we can give back to these organizations,” says Impact CEO Frank Cucco. “Impact Field is already opening doors for us to provide special experiences to deserving people.”

Representatives from both organizations shared how meaningful this ballgame was to their members. Jessica Eashart, Community Inclusion Coordinator at the Pioneer Center for Human Services emphasized just how unique this opportunity was. “I think this event is the largest gathering we have ever had. Everyone is so excited, and our members usually have to pay for outings out of pocket. This is definitely a treat for them and a way to do something they would not otherwise get the chance to do.”

Bill Ballin, Program Coordinator at the Ray Graham Association hailed the event as the perfect way to bring her members together. “A lot of our members get overwhelmed in large crowds, so they don’t often get to enjoy simple experiences we take for granted, like an afternoon at the ballpark. The fact that this was a private event allowed them to enjoy a baseball game in an environment that is comfortable for them.” Having Impact Field closed to the public for this preseason game enabled us to give both organizations an experience that was suitable to their needs. Members of both groups were able to interact one-on-one with the Chicago Dogs, a brand-new independent league team in Rosemont. This included the chance to meet with players and have baseballs autographed by the entire team.

With the enormous success that accompanied this event, Impact is confident that Impact Field will not only be a world-class ballpark with great amenities for fans, but will also give the company the chance to become an even better member of the community. By providing special experiences to clients and deserving organizations, Impact can count on this incredible new venue to knock everyone’s expectations out of the park.
