John Calipari is the head coach of the men’s basketball team at the University of Kentucky, and a future hall of famer. He’s an NCAA champion, 6x SEC champion, and 3x Naismith College Coach of the Year.
Today, he speaks with us about the ups and downs of his career, what he’s learned from decades of coaching, and the steps he’s taking to give more opportunities to diverse people in college athletics.
In 2020, Calipari helped found the McLendon Leadership Initiative with a goal of helping historically underprivileged people in college athletics gain access to more opportunities to learn, gain experience, and build their network.
